Medina The Medina was once the medieval citadel (or town) of the Alhambra. It did house several public baths, ovens, workshops, & cisterns of Granada. But it was also occupied by the houses of officials, court servants, & other VIP's. In other words if you lived in Granada & were deemed worth protecting, then you may well have ended up living in the Medina. The Medina is hard to miss on a visit to the Alhambra as today it is centered around the main walkway leading to the Palace of Charles V. The foundations of the original houses that once stood here can still be seen, clearly showing room sizes & the uniform pattern that they were constructed in.
