Balearic Islands Sightseeing

The four Balearic islands lie off the south east coast from mainland Spain.  The Balearic Islands consist of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera.  Thousands of holiday makers visit the Balearics all year round to enjoy some of the best beaches, sights, and nightlife in Europe.  Please see below for details of sights in each of the four Balearic Islands:

Ibiza Sightseeing

Ibiza really does have something for everyone, with many cultural tourist attractions such as three art galleries, many monuments, towers, ruins, castles, caves, and two museums.  Or there are plenty of sporting activities to join in such as bungee jumping, abseiling, sailing, fishing, horse riding, yoga, parascending, and scuba diving.  Or for more relaxing sights you could simply take an island tour, visit the markets, and a yoga class, and health spa too.  For details of all of these tourist attractions in Ibiza simply click on the above title Ibiza Sightseeing.

Menorca Sightseeing

Menorca has plenty of things to do including a golf course, two water parks, boat tours of the island, caves great for exploring with the kids, horse harness racing shows of an evening, the world heritage protected park, and the military governors house, to name a few.  There are also two museums in Menorca focusing on the history of the island.  Theatres, Churches, or simply a yoga class.  A typically Spanish horse show is great for all the family held just twice weekly in Cala Galdana.  Or the gin distillery; take a tour and find out how gin is made whilst having a little tipple!  For details of all the above sights in Menorca simply click on the above title Menorca Sightseeing.

Formentera Sightseeing

There are many activities to do in Formentera including sailing, windsurfing, fishing, boating, cycling, walking, snorkeling, scuba diving, bird watching, painting and photography (countless Artists holiday in Formentera).  You can visit the sand dunes, caves, lakes, windmills, view points, light houses, and markets to name but a few.  Just 150m from Formentera island is Espalmador Island, great for a day trip, the uninhabited island of Espalmador is just 3km in length and 1km wide.  You can catch a boat to the island of Espalmador from port of Formentera there are many beaches with fine golden sand, no facilities at all, so remember to pack plenty of food, drink, and sun cream!  For details of all of these tourist attractions in Formentera simply click on the above title Formentera Sightseeing.

Mallorca Sightseeing

In the amazing island of Mallorca (also known as Majorca) there is an abundance of tourist attractions manmade and natural that are spread throughout the island. You can see these by either boat, train, bus/coach excursions or by yourself by hiring a car.  There are attractions for everyone, whether you are visiting Mallorca/Majorca with friends or the family and bringing the kids.  With all resorts within about 1 hour to the Airport there is always a variety of things for you to do, depending whether you are planning an active holiday or relaxing beach holiday, Mallorca has something for everyone!  For details of all of these tourist attractions in Mallorca simply click on the above title Mallorca Sightseeing.
