| Balearic Islands Tourist Information The four Balearic islands lie off the south east coast from mainland Spain. The Balearic Islands consist of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera. Allot of Menorca is a biosphere reserve and protected by world heritage UNESCO so there is plenty of natural beauty including pine forests, traditional Spanish fishing villages, grazing cattle, all overlooking the cobalt Mediterranean sea. There is tones to do in Menorca from visiting the museums, markets, and historical sights. Formentera Tourist Information The main attraction to Formentera island is its tranquility and the fact it is completely unspoilt. Formentera is a quiet island with no airport, to get to Formentera you simply catch a boat which only takes 30 minutes from Ibiza. If you enjoy nudist holidays with a touch of hiking, walking, painting, or photography, then Formentera is your heaven. 99% of the picturesque beaches in Formentera are nudist friendly. Tourism is the main industry, with about 11,000,000 visitors a year. The capital is Palma de Mallorca, with a third of the population living there. With a mild climate in the winter, hot summers, beautiful scenery, beaches and great hotels, you can see why it is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the world.
