Port Vell Marina Port Vell is the ideal place too moor up for those intending on exploring Barcelona's city centre. It sits adjacent to Barceloneta beach & the Gothic quarter at the bottom end of Spain's most famous street; La Rambla. Within walking distance visitors will find the majority of the cities main sights & attractions. The marina area is itself home to the Maritime museum, monument of Cristopher Columbus, Maremagnum leisure complex, & many restaurants, cafes, bars, & retail options. The marina offers a wide range of nautical services itself, & in addition the Barcelona '92 facilities yard is located right next door, offering a some of the best facilities on the Mediterranean. Port Olimpic Marina The Port Olimpic de Barcelona was built in preparation for the 1992 Olympic games. Designed to host many of the Olympic sailing events it is a world class installation offering a multitude of services & facilities to match. The area which the harbour occupies is in the heart of Barcelona's Olympic village. This is an attraction in itself, & an excellent place to come for a stroll & marvel at modern architecture & design innovation. Small boats (golondrinas) are inoperation, offering sightseeing tours of the city waterfront & surrounding coastline. The marina plays host to many restaurants, cafes, bars & retail outlets. A market is also held here on certain days of the weeks; selling various items from paintings to cut glass ornaments. Positioned at 41º 23' 12" N 02º 12' 6" E the marina has 740 moorings. Port Masnou Marina Situated in the town of Masnou, just 15 km north of Barcelona the Port Masnou marina is in an unbeatable location. Trains run to the city centre/airport, & the town is very close to exit 86 of the C-32 motorway & the N-11 coastal road. Well serviced the marina is within easy reach of a good selection of restaurants, cafes, bars, & even a golf course. It does however remain significantly quieter than those of Barcelona's central districts. It is also an ideal place from which to access the beautiful countryside of Barcelona province. There are many walking, cycling & horse riding routes to be enjoyed. This is a popular location to moor craft for many of Barcelona's residents.
