Barcelona Night Clubs Barcelona is an excellent place to enjoy an evening out & boasts a varied selection of entertainment options. A multitude of night clubs can be found peppered across Barcelona, & clubbing life is generally in keeping with the city's sense of style. Clubs come in all shapes & sizes, & all musical tastes are catered for; from dance music, to hard rock, & mainstream offerings alike. Entrance fees vary greatly, & often depend on who is playing/what is happening on the night, though many clubs are free before a certain time (usually 1pm). One of the best places to head for to find a good selection of night clubs is the L'Eixample district, home to the highest concentration of bars & clubs in the city. Otherwise there are bars & clubs almost everywhere in central Barcelona, in fact you would be hard pushed to miss them. Additionally if you visit the Barri Gotic or La Rambla, there are often people handing out flyers at any time of the day or night. It is worth knowing that the evening meal in Spain is eaten at around 10pm. This has a knock on effect to the customary time at which locals head out for a drink (especially at weekends), & visitors will find that most bars do not get lively until much later. Of course the city's night clubs are often open relatively early, but do not expect a lively atmosphere until at least 1pm.
