Barcelona Province Barcelona is not just the name of the city but also its province. Barcelona Province bridges the gap between the Costa Dorada (south-west) & the Costa Brava (north-east) on the Catalan coastline. Made up of varied terrain it covers wine producing & agricultural areas stretching as far inland as the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains.
