Cala Llonga Tourist Information
Situated on the south east side of Ibiza Island, Cala Llonga is a very nice unspoilt small family resort. It has a beautiful golden sandy beach, surrounded by pine trees, with shallow waters ideal for small children paddling. Just behind the beach there is a wooden playground for the children. There are many fine restaurants, bars, shops, and cafes in Cala Llonga.
Just a couple of miles away from Cala Llonga are the only two golf courses in Ibiza. It is also a short drive to Santa Eulalia and Ibiza town so ideally located for a family or golfing holiday. There are regular ferry and bus services to the above places.
There are two waterparks on Ibiza island, both not too far from Cala Llonga the first, and nearest is in Talamanca, this is the smaller water park of the two but the one that is more aimed at children. The other is in Playa den Bossa on the beach by the famous Space nightclub, the Playa den Bossa waterpark has many huge slides, please see our water parks page for more information.
500 years ago Cala Llonga was a smugglers hideout, and only 30 years ago Cala Llonga could only be reached by boat, nowadays it is very different, although it hasn't lost that quaint Spanish authenticity, like other holiday resorts.
There is a Riding Stables for Horse lovers in Cala Llonga, what a great holiday experience to ride along the sandy beach and up into the pine clad hills.
