Calella Weather The climate in the Mediterranean town of Calella is welcoming for the majority of the year. The summer season is hot without being oppressive with July & August boasting average highs of 31°C. Calella's coldest month is January & its winters (though a good deal cooler than in Spain's southern regions) still reach average highs of 16°C. This means there is the potential to have lunch al fresco, or take part in outdoor activities all year round. However visitors should take note Calella's northern coastal location means that during the winter season it can endure cold periods. It is also considerably wetter than the climate normally associated with the south of Spain; average rainfall stands at around 1,000mm per annum. The upside to this is evident in the green & fertile lands that surround it, & in the many nearby parks & conservation areas.
