Caleta de Fuste is one of the major tourist town's in Fuerteventura. Situated in the East of the island about 15 minutes drive away from the airport. The town is also known as Castillo. It is spread out over quite a distance and is ever expanding - so if you don't want to walk a lot make sure your accommodation is near the centre!
It is a typical holiday resort and purpose built for that reason, so you will not find typical Canarian restaurants and building and the normal characteristics - but you will find plenty of things to do on your holiday, including water sports, boat trips, diving and even a submarine for under water excursions!! The only golf course on the island you will find by this resort too. The beach in the town is man made, with imported sand and a lovely back drop of hills!

The nightlife is lively and takes place around the many Commercial centres in the resort. There is a huge variety of bars and restaurants in the centre you really can have a great night out if you like the kind of tourist nightlife that includes karaoke bars, cheesy entertainment and live music! Due to it being a tourist resort there are not many tapas bars and no traditional ones, what you will find in the way of restaurants are thousands of Chinese's, English, Italian, Steak House's, Seafood etc the usual!! With the all this you'll never be stuck for anything to do in the evening! Alternatively the majority of the main hotels in the resort have brilliant restaurants and a varied entertainment schedule which is perfect for those with the younger families!
In Caleta de Fuste they are a few Ocean front Villas for you to rent, apartments in complex's and blocks and Hotels that range from basic - somewhere for you to just lay your head to luxurious with a wide range of facilities! All available for your stay in this amazing resort! All property ranges in size and shape, from studio's or one bedroom apartments, if there are just the two of you to three bedroom - normally sleeping up 8 if your taking the family or going in a big group, or one bedroom villas and bungalows up to 4 bedroom villas!
There are Companies that rent these properties out, but is also private rentals, where people that have bought the property for holiday homes and when they are not there using it they will rent it out for your exclusive use! These properties are set in a privately owned complex, where some locals live! They come with communal swimming pools too, and the pools are normally quieter due to the fact it isn't full of holiday makers and is more residential. A word of warning though these are quieter and normally better for families or older groups than the young tourists!!!
