Canary Islands Theme Parks In the Canary Islands there are lots of Amusement, Theme and Waterparks. The majority of them are on the island of Tenerife and Gran Canaria. Lanzarote has a few small parks and Fuerteventura only has a small animal park. You will find everything from American 'Cowboy style theme parks' to big Amusement parks with thrilling rides to themed Guanche town's which show the history of the island's in a more interesting and fun way! Plus there are many Zoo's over all the Canary Islands where you will find either big zoo's or smaller parks specialising in just a few species of animals. Fuerteventura Tourist Attractions There is only one zoo safari in way of man made tourist attractions there are no other theme and amusement parks or water parks. The Zoo safari is in La Lajita, a small fishing village - with black sandy beaches, the village is a lovely day out in itself as it is gorgeous. But the Zoo Safari is a brilliant day out too. With over 200 species of birds, monkeys, lizards and crocodiles plus many more. It is open daily, from 9am till 7pm. Gran Canaria Tourist Attractions If you are planning or looking for more of an active holiday there are plenty of places for you to visit and things to do in Gran Canaria! Including the Water parks, of which there are three all located in the south of the Island, Aquasur, Ocean Park and Aqua Park. In total there are eight theme and amusement parks, which include; Palmitos Park which is a subtropical oasis and Zoo, Holiday World which is a leisure and amusement park, Sioux City a wild west town that has Cowboy and Indian fights and many other wild western attractions, Mundo Aborigen Located overlooking the Barranco de Fataga, which is the biggest and most dramatic gorge on the island, The Mundo Aborigen is a reconstruction of an ancient Canary village devoted entirely to the Guanche way of life. Cocodrilo Park - a Crocodile Park, this is a park that is devoted to adopting ill treated animals, buying them privately and from circuses, it started with just a few crocodile and now they have the largest collections in Europe! Among the animals are also, Monkeys and Tigers, it is family run and its proceeds from the entry fee go to the upkeep of the park! Cactualdea - a cactus park, Reptilandia Park - Reptile Park, Pueblo Canario - a Canary Village, where you can experience true Canarian culture! There is plenty of things for you to do in Lanzarote, whether you are looking for a relaxing beach holiday or want to have a fun filled holiday where you will be busy everyday visiting attractions - natural and manmade.
