Chiclana Tourism Situated just outside of Cadiz; the capital of Costa de la Luz, and nearby to he salt lakes there is much to do in and around Chiclana.  There are many farms and vineyards in the area, this is good for a day trip, or to simply stock up for the holiday!  There are plenty of sights to choose from within a short drive from Chiclana, for more detailed information and other days out please see Chiclana Sightseeing. There is a open air market by the river in Chiclana, it is held every Tuesday morning from around 10am-2pm, full of atmosphere and bursting with locals it is a great place to pick up souvenirs or food. There are two beaches to be found in the town of Chiclana the La Barrosa beach, and the Sancti Petri beach.  The La Barrosa is a blue flag beach although both have lifeguards and watersports.    Situated close to Chiclana is the Aqualand Bahia Waterpark.  With 17 slides, a couple of cafes, and a shaded picnic area its a great family day out, there is even a private bus service that can pick up from your hotel if you book in advance.  Please see Chiclana Water Parks for more information. Chiclana has typical Mediterranean weather, there are approximately 300 days of sun annually, with an average of 11 hours of sun during the summer.  The winters in Chiclana are extremely mild, with an average of 5hrs of sun per day.  The max average temperature in August is 28ºC and in December is 14ºC.  The best time to visit Chiclana is from June till September.
