Christo de la Luz Mosque The Christo de la Luz Mosque in Toledo dates back to the year 999AD. Though converted (under Alfonso VI in the 12th century) into a place for Christian worship after the re-conquest of Toledo the original structure remains intact. It is square in shape with a brick facade and its interior boasts horseshoe shaped arches held up by columns.
