This will check all the major tour operators and holiday companies. Costa Teguise is one of the most attractive tourist destinations on Lanzarote. It is situated in the North-eastern part of the Island, only a few kilometres away from its capital Arrecife. It is the islands second major tourist area - thanks to its first class accommodations, the quality of its services, the beaches, the green spaces and, above all, the sensation of peace and freedom that it has to offer! There are plenty of places to stay here from private villas, apartments and hotels - that range from basic, somewhere to lay your head to really luxurious! There are plenty of Apartments to rent for your holiday, in Costa Teguise, whether you want a basic apartment just to lay your head a night or luxurious with an abundance of facilities! They range in size from studio's or one bedroom apartments if there are just the two of you to three bedroom - normally sleeping up 8 if your taking the family or going in a big group. There also the private rentals, people that have bought the property for holiday homes and when they are not there rent out for your exclusive use! These are lovely, normally set in privately owned complexes, where people live! Most come with communal swimming pools too, and these are normally quieter due to this. A word of warning though these are quieter and normally better for families or older groups than the young tourists!!! Prices range from 40 per day for a Studio in Costa Teguise upwards. They will do deals for the longer you have it, it becomes cheaper per day! But generally you are looking from 150 per week for a Studio rental and prices go compared to size and location. Why not take a look at Zettagroups Hotel website - search on the Hotels link above, here you can get more information on Hotels and their availability plus price, in that area. There are many Airlines and Tour Operators that fly to Lanzarote Airport (ACE) it is located in the Capital of the island Las Palmas. These Airlines and Tour Operators include BMI, My Travel Lite, British Airways, Thomson, First Choice and Iberia, plus many more. Whichever resort you are staying in the transfer time from the aiport will be less than an hour. The Airlines generally fly from all London Airports, Birmingham, Manchester International and most other airports depending on which airline / tour operator you choose to fly with! The prices can really vary, again depending on which airline and what time of year etc but generally you will not be looking at more than £150 for a return flight. The flight time is roughly four and a half hours from most airports in the UK. The weather in Costa Teguise is generally warm and dry all year round. It is by far the least mountainous of the Canary Islands and has a great deal of flat land. Due to this it is below the level of warm air and humidity. Mostly this results to a dry climate and very little rain. The average temperature in the summer is 24 degrees Celsius and in the winter still only 17 degrees Celsius! There is plenty of things for you to do in Lanzarote, whether you are looking for a relaxing beach holiday or want to have a fun filled holiday where you will be busy everyday visiting attractions - natural and manmade. If you fancy just relaxing at the beach, then there are plenty surrounding this resort, Las Cucharas Beach is a tranquil beach, whose 640m of golden sands are protected by breakwaters, this beach sits in the heart of Costa Teguise. It is also one of the favourite beaches for windsurfers. This is a fantastic beach with all sorts of services including, Restaurants, handicap access, boardwalk, parking, kiosks, telephones, bus stop and sports equipment rentals. There is also Los Charcos Beach a beach that is made up of 150m of fine white sand it is also a little windy, El Jablillo Beach, this is made of 350m of fine white sand and gravel and is windy and last but no means least, Bastián Beach is 400m of fine white sand and gravel; in Las Caletas, close to Costa Teguise. Costa Teguise's wide range of sports from the most varied marine activities that can be enjoyed from its incredible beaches including; diving, windsurfing, sailing, deep sea fishing, etc. to golf, an aquatic park, squash, tennis, paddle ball, and the dozens of private sports centres. Lanzarote hosts just one Golf Course at present, The Golf Costa Teguise course - which is a par 72, 18 hole course. It is situated at the foot of a volcano and has magnificent view's of the ocean that will captivate you at every hole. This course is quite central and easy to get too. If an active holiday is what you were planning then there are lots of places for you to visit and things to do in Lanzarote! If you are visiting Lanzarote you will probably be staying in one of the main tourist resorts of Playa Blanca, Puerto del Carmen or Costa Teguise though and sadly these places have lost much of their traditional architecture and way of life to make way for the tourists. To get a real feel of Lanzarote you should make your way to some of the villages scattered over the island. You can do this by excursion's that you can book through any goo tour operator or along the high street in these tourist areas you will find companies that run these excursions too. Of course there is another way and that is to hire a car giving you the freedom to explore this island at your own pace and in your own time. Close by is the town of Teguise, which is very historic, it was the island's capital until 1852. Many of the buildings have preservation orders on them due to their architectural and historic nature. So you will a true sight into the culture and historical background of the town and island. Overlooking Teguise is the mountain of Guanapay whose lofty heights are crowned by the Castillo de Santa Barbara - Santa Barbara Castle, which was built by Sancho de Herrera in the 16th Century as a watchtower for the coastlines on both sides of the island. The castle has a fascinating museum which is well worth a visit. If you, like me like the markets for a good haggle and great bargain there is a large Market in Teguise every Sunday Morning, La Villa de Teguise is one of the main cultural and tourist centres on the island. One of its most popular events is the Mercadillo. Every Sunday morning, the entire village turns into a grand open air market where shoppers can browse among the stalls of wares from artifacts to home made bread, all animated by groups of folk dancers and singers in native costume. Spain and the Canary Islands are famous for there festivals (fiestas) and Lanzarote is no exception!! In Costa Teguise in Lanzarote throughout the year this village and island has many carnivals and fiestas, below I have listed a few of the more popular ones and generally larger one's that happen! Many fiestas, festivals and carnivals are held in Costa Teguise, so if you are on holiday here whilst a fiesta is taking place, the you should go along and have a look and for the more daring participate, which can do by taking part in the fancy dress and partying alongside it all - it is a brilliant day and night out, with which most do party well into the early hours and some don't even stop for two days - so be prepared! The nightlife in Costa Teguise is quieter than its neighbour, Puerto del Carmen so if you fancy partying the night away then you will have to take the short journey to that resort. In Costa Teguise however, there is a good selection of restaurants, bars and pubs along Avenida Islas Canarias near the Toca Shopping centre. You will be able to find many restaurants where you can just sit in peace and watch the world go by along the seafront and promenade as most lively action takes place around the commercial centres. Whatever your holiday - I am sure you'll have a fantastic time in Lanzarote and never be stuck for anything to do!!! Costa Teguise is the ideal place for rest, relaxation and fun!
