Don Pedro de Luna Palace

Don Pedro de Luna Palace is a magnificent 16th century construct in the heart of Zaragoza. It is a good example of the affluence and power shared by the nobility in the city at this time of great economical success. Built onto the Roman wall the building's most striking feature is it's entrance archway, which depicts two giants (Hercules and Teseo) holding up the upper portion of the arch. The building's namesake Pedro de Luna was the last Pope of Avignon during the split of the Catholic church.
