Es Castell Tourism The resort of Es Castell is situated on the edge of the Capital of Menorca; Mahon (also known as Mao) overlooking the sea.  There are many fine restaurants, shops, and sights nearby.  There is a market twice weekly.  Its  a short drive from the airport, and a great place for a holiday in Menorca. The Punta Prima beach is very close to Es Castell and has fine white sand to one side and rocks to the other.  Facilities include pedaloes, windsurfing, and sailing equipment available to hire, and parking. There is allot of sights in Es Castell; there are Boat Tours, the Caves, Horse Harness Racing, the Mao Park, Military Governors House, Museum of Menorca, the Principal Theatre, St Francesc Church, the Xoriguer Gin Distillery, Yoga classes and much more.  Please see Es Castell Sightseeing for more details. The Club de Golf Son Parc golf course is situated just a few miles away from Es Castell.  Designed by Dave Thomas, close to the sea, surrounded by pine trees, and home to many peacocks.  It is a moderately stunted and even course, trickier on the greens, however the wind can add challenges all over.
