Es Pujols is one of the main resorts in Formentera. Located on the north coast facing the Espalmador Island in between the towns of Las Salinas (to the west) and Sant Ferran (to the east). The beach is sandy and close to the main town, Es Pujols beach his one of the only beaches in Formentera where nudity is not excepted. The market in Es Pujols is open every evening from 6pm till midnight. There is also a monument and tombs in Es Pujols which are worth a visit on your Es Pujols Holiday. There is everything in terms of facilities in Es Pujols including restaurants, hotels, cafes, internet cafes, shops, banks and much more. The best time to visit Es Pujols is between May and October, high season is from June to September.
Espalmador Island is great for a day trip from Es Pujols it is a small uninhabited island located just 150m from Formentera just 3km in length and 1km wide. You can catch a boat to the island of Espalmador from port of Formentera there are many beaches with fine golden sand, no facilities at all, it is unknown whether nudity is accepted on this island.
Formentera island is a tranquil holiday resort it is very much unspoilt. Home to most of the best beaches within the Balearics with white fine sand, shallow crystal clear waters, with very good under water visibility (great for snorkeling and scuba diving). There are around ten really great beaches, most have beach bars selling tapas, some with boats for hire either with or without a crew. All are recommended for snorkeling, and scuba diving. Most of the beaches in Formentera are tolerant of the nudists and some are completely naked, nudist, au naturale beaches.
There are many activities to do in Formentera including windsurfing, fishing, sailing, fishing, boating (boats are available to hire in most resorts), cycling (there are over 20 cycle paths), walking, snorkeling, scuba diving, bird watching (at the world heritage park), painting and photography (countless Artists holiday in Formentera). You can visit the sand dunes, caves, lakes, windmills, view points, lighthouses, and markets to name but a few.
