Exploring Zaragoza Province Zaragoza is not just the name of a city, but also that of a province of which it is the capital. Zaragoza province is itself located within the larger autonomous region of Aragon (of which Zaragoza is also the capital). The towns found within and around the province of Zaragoza are diverse, have a rich history, and many are well worth visiting for the day. See the below links for information:-   Borja The town of Borja is a relatively small town of just over 4,000 inhabitants. It is the capital of the Borja comarca which has a long history. Calatayud The town of Calatayud is the second largest town in the province after Zaragoza and has a populace of over 20,000. It's history stretches back as far as the Roman occupation of the peninsular. Caspe The town of Caspe has a population of just over 8,000 inhabitants and is situated some 100 kms to the east of Zaragoza. Mequinenza The town of Mequinenza is located near both the Segre and Ebra rivers and has a populace of around 2,500. Tarazona The town of Tarazona is a medium sized town with approximately 10,000 inhabitants. Today it's economy is still mainly revolves around agriculture. Biota The town of Biota has a populace of around 1,200 and has its own municipality in the province of Zaragoza. Belchite The town of Belchite is located 40 kms south of Zaragoza and has a populace of around 1,500. Carinena The town of Carinena is an agricultural town located in the province of Zaragoza in the North of Spain. It has a populace of just over 3,000. Ejea de los Caballeros The town of Ejea de los Caballeros is located in the provonce of Zaragoza and has a populace of around 16,000.
