Fanabe located in the south of Tenerife, in the Playa de Las Americas region of Tenerife. It was intended to attract the upmarket tourist clientele to the island, and the high spending golf fraternity this resort on the fringes of Costa Adeje is most definitely a "work in progress". Construction work aside the area is rapidly gaining a reputation for quality hospitality. This elite little resort has the best of both worlds; it is peaceful and quiet getting you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, although close by is the main tourist hub and brilliant nightlife.

There are several beaches close by to the resort, including small and secluded or long stretches of white fine sand!! Most are child friendly, with water sports, ringo's paragliding and banana boats, along the shore and bars and restaurant along the edge of the sand!

There is plenty of Tourist attraction's in Fanabe and close by, there are also various excursion's that run from here too; you've got the Jeep safaris, Mount Tiede Tours, Whale watching and if all that's not enough you could hire a car to get of the hustle and bustle of this popular town and go somewhere quieter for the day exploring! There is plenty to do if your not relaxing on the beach or at your pool nursing your head from the night before, preparing for that night! Such as the main water park is at the resort of Playa de las Americas, Octopus Aqua Park! The other one on the island isn't far either! There are also Zoos, Gardens, Golf clubs, Whale watching and Dolphin watching, go-karting, fishing and lost of water sports! So you will never be stuck for anything to do!
Also some of the best golf courses on the island surround this resort. So Fanabe is perfect for a golfing holiday, with everything the typical golfer will need at their fingertips!!
The nightlife here is much more upmarket, and close by you will find within easy reach are Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos and in both of these resorts you will find a bigger and livelier kind of nightlife, Playa de las Americas being the place to go if you are looking to paint the town red and party into the early hours, Los Cristianos being the resort to go to if you are wanting to party a little maybe with the family...? You will find here all sorts of bars and restaurants including hip-swaying salsa music, Live bands, Cover bands, jazz, or anything else then you will find it here! Irish bars and English bars galore!! In true Spanish style once the sun goes down the restaurant, the bars and nightlife comes alive!!!
In the centre of this chic resort, is the majestic Gran Hotel Melia Bahia del Duque which is becoming something of a tourist attraction in itself, due to its lavish décor and extravagant architecture! The impressive hotel makes the most of the island's heritage and its buildings mirror the style of some of the 19th century houses that are on the island. You will see the staff decked out in traditional Canarian costume which gives the place a brilliant feel of a living museum! You are welcome to visit here and have a wander round even if you are not staying in the hotel, this is open from 6.30pm onwards and although the regulations stipulate a smart dress code, you shouldn't have any trouble getting in as long as you're not wearing shorts!
There are a few of Apartments and villas that available to rent for your holiday, in Fanabe - whether you want are looking for a basic property somewhere just to lay your head a night or luxurious with an abundance of facilities! Properties range in size and shape, from studio's or one bedroom apartments, if there are just the two of you to three bedroom - normally sleeping up 8 if your taking the family or going in a big group, or one bedroom villas and bungalows up to 6 bedroom villas!
There are Companies that rent these properties out, but also there is private rentals, where people that have bought the property for holiday homes and when they are not there using it they will rent it out for your exclusive use! Some of these properties can be set in privately owned complexes, where locals live! Most come with communal swimming pools too, and these are normally quieter due to the fact it isn't full of holiday makers and is more residencial. A word of warning though these are quieter and normally better for families or older groups than the young tourists!!!
