Beaches in Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura is an ideal holiday destination for the beach lovers!! The Beaches in Fuerteventura are definitely some of the most impressive in the whole of Europe! With miles and miles of white sand from the dunes in Corralejo in the north of the island to the flat stretches of paradise beach in the south of the island Jandia and Morro Jable.
The majority of the beaches here also have lifeguards for safety too!
The Blue Flag award is an award that is given each year to European and South African beaches that meet certain standards. There are several beaches in Fuerteventura that have been awarded the Blue Flag. As this can change from year to year to find out exactly which beaches check out the Blue Flag Website. www.blueflag.org

Here are just a few resorts beach information;
The beaches in the town are smaller and great for sunbathing but if you want picturesque scenery or water sports then flag beach is the place to go it is popular with windsurfers and kitesurfers. Flag beach is just outside Corralejo town, there are plenty of restaurants, bars and toilets around the beach and life guards patrol the area too! With its crystal clear water and white sand that goes on for miles its no wonder that its neighboring sand dunes and part of this beach is used regularly for photo fashion shoots, TV advertisements, Music Videos and lots more!
Jandia peninsula is a nature reserve separated from the rest of the island and bordered almost completely by vast beaches of white sand. To the west, the beaches of Barlovento, somewhat dangerous for swimming, remain almost wild. To the east, a large sandy fringe of some twelve and a half miles (20km) in length and over one kilometres wide in some areas, this is the site of two tourist resorts: Costa Calma, near the unequaled Playa de Sotavento, and Morro Jable, which is built around the port where the jet-foil departs for the island of Gran Canaria
Morro Jable Beach
The beaches here are unbelievable some of the largest on the island and breathtaking with the white sand stretching for miles (some as far as 35km) they truly look like a beach on a paradise island!
El Cotillo Beach
The beaches and lagoons themselves are breathtaking with white sand and crystal clear waters - but open and the sun is fierce - for shade you should bring your own parasol or take natural shade in one of the many lava stones these are also good for wind shelter!!
