Welcome to Fuerteventura Sailing
The Canary Island's Archipelago is located 28N-16W.
Fuerteventura is as with the rest of Canary Island Archipelago a sailors dream! With the more experienced sailors and as time allows you can go between all the islands, but in Fuerteventura there are two islands that are close by which include the small Lobos and Lanzarote - this makes it ideal for less experienced sailors too as these are so close you can practise!!
With North East trade winds the whole of the Canary Islands waters are a ideal for sailing in moderate conditions, they are also filled with sea mammals including dolphins, whales and many more sea creatures and with the water being clear it makes the sailing within the island a wonderful experience. It is also an all year round sport with the weather rarely dropping below 18C during the winter months and above 24C in the Summer.
So although not as well known or as good as some of the other island in the Archipelago of the Canaries, Fuerteventura still has something to offer for the keen sailors!
