Girona Jewish History Museum Girona plays host to a small-ish museum that tells the tale of the medieval Jewish community that once flourished here. It is located in the Call, the name given to the Jewish quarter that forms part of the town centre, & is widely thought of as being Girona's most beautiful locale. Featuring in the museum are tales of Jewish life in Girona & wider Catalonia, from their arrival towards the end of the 9th century, to their final expulsion at the hands of the Spanish inquisition in 1492. It also touches on the Catalan Kabbalists & the ancient religious learning centres that once called Girona their home. In recent years Girona's town council has opened several old Jewish homes & other installations in the Call to the public. Guided tours are also readily available.
