Gran Canaria has four hostels around the island. Two are based in the islands capital, Las Palmas; Hostal Alcaravaneras and Falow Hostel. One is based in Santa Lucia, Centro Internacional de Windsurfing and One is based in Santa Maria de Guia, AJ San Fernando!
The Hostal Alcaravaneras is located in Las Palmas, just some 50 metres from the beach, you will find everything just a few minutes away as the hostel is very close to the shopping area of Las Palmas. The hostel has all the facilities you will need for your stay including; Safe Box availability, Linen included, Towels, Free Internet Access, 24 Hour TV Room, 24 hour reception, No curfew and No Lockout! It is clean and staff are friendly.

The Falow Hostel is located in Las Palmas, just 70 metres from Alcaravaneras beach and just a 10 minute walk to Las Canteras beach - which is considered one of the best beaches on the island! Also within close walking distance is the shopping area of Las Palmas, where you will find all sorts of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars! What makes this place great for backpackers and independent travellers is the cheap prices and excellent location. The hostel has double, twin and single rooms, with or without toilet, for standard rooms you will find a toilet and shower on each floor. The facilities include; Linen included, towels, Luggage storage, No curfew and no lockout! It is a clean and quite hostel, with friendly staff.
Prices are per person per night and they start from $17 for a private standard single room, $19 for a private single room with en suite, $12 for a private double / twin standard room and $20 for a private double / twin private room with en suite! All taxes are included in the price.

The Centro Internacional de Windsurfing (CIW) is the only one on the island of its kind, located directly on one of the best beaches to practice windsurfing in the world, in Santa Lucia. The PWA Windsurfing World Championship's are held here every year and from the CIW you have a beautiful view over the Pozo Izquierdo Bay. Also only 2km away you will find the city centre of Vecindario where you find all sorts of shops, restaurants and bars. Within close walking distance there are a few restaurants and shops too. There is plenty of facilities at the hostel including; a swimming pool - this is available to non guests too, be aware even if you are staying here you will have to pay €2 for a lounger. Also there is windsurfing and diving equipment available for hire, A windsurfing and diving school, cyberzone (Internet access), TV room and a restaurant. The rooms a big and very clean sleeping 8 in each. The whole hostel is very clean and the staff extremely friendly.

The AJ San Fernando located in Santa Maria de Guia, this hostel is a Hostelling International Hostel (HI), A valid HI membership card is required to stay at these hostel's, although some hostel's may let non member's stay with an extra fee applying.
