Lorca Museum The museum dedicated to the poet  Federico Garcia Lorca is situated in his families summer-house, where he spent time as a youth & wrote some of his more important works. It is just outside of the city centre in the middle of a park; created in his memory & for the intended museum. Aside from being one of Spain's most popular poets Lorca has come to symbolise the struggle of the Spanish civil war. He was murdered by nationalists at the beginning of the conflict, at the age of 37.
