Isla Cristina Tourism Isla Cristina is situated on the south coast of mainland Spain on the Costa de la Luz, overlooking the Atlantic ocean, close to the city of Huelva.  To the west of Isla Cristina is the Portuguese border, and to the east is the port to Morocco. Situated not too far from Isla Cristina is the Aqualand Bahia Waterpark.  With 17 slides, a couple of cafes, and a shaded picnic area its a great family day out, there is even a private bus service that can pick up from your hotel if you book in advance.  Please see Isla Cristina Water Parks for more information. There are many golf courses close to the town of Isla Cristina.  The closest golf course to Isla Cristina is the Islantilla Golf Course.  There are around 20 golf courses in total in the Costa de la Luz coastline, please see Isla Cristina Golf for more information. Isla Cristina has typical Mediterranean weather, there are approximately 300 days of sun annually, with an average of 11 hours of sun during the summer.  The winters in Isla Cristina are extremely mild, with an average of 5hrs of sun per day.  The max average temperature in August is 28ºC and in December is 14ºC.  The best time to visit Isla Cristina is from June till September.
