La Mola Tourist Information The small town of La Mola is located on the South East Formentera, sightly inland.  There is many thing to do in La Mola from visiting the 3 million old Caves des Fum and Cave Sa Ma Peluda, the La Mola Church, and a oldest Lighthouse in Formentera.  There is also a twice weekly market every Sunday and Wednesday evenings from 4-9pm.  La Mola is a good place to go for a walk or hike.  There is a hiking path from El Pilar de la Mola road up the hillside overlooking the Sargela beach.  The closest beach to La Mola town is the Playa Es Calo this is a small sandy beach north facing popular for scuba diving and snorkeling, nudity is normally accepted on this beach.  The best time to visit La Mola is between May and October, high season is from June to September.  Formentera island is a tranquil holiday resort it is very much unspoilt.  Home to most of the best beaches within the Balearics with white fine sand, shallow crystal clear waters, with very good under water visibility (great for snorkeling and scuba diving).  There are around ten really great beaches, most have beach bars selling tapas, some with boats for hire either with or without a crew.  All are recommended for snorkeling, and scuba diving.  Most of the beaches in Formentera are tolerant of the nudists and some are completely naked, nudist, au naturale beaches. There are many activities to do in Formentera including sailing, windsurfing, fishing, boating, cycling, walking, snorkeling, scuba diving, bird watching, painting and photography (countless Artists holiday in Formentera).  You can visit the sand dunes, caves, lakes, windmills, view points, light houses, and markets to name but a few.
