The Canary Islands is duty free, so that includes Tenerife and Los Gigantes! So if you are looking to buy tobacco, wines, spirits, Jewellery and perfumes, look no further they are much cheaper here than in other EU countries!
If whilst on holiday you are wanting to do some serious shopping, then you will have to leave Los Gigantes and go acroos the island where there are several shopping centre's that have sprung up! There's; Corte Ingles department store in Santa Cruz, Carrefour off the TF-1 motorway and Continente next to the TF-5 motorway. These rae not too far away!
Los Gigantes has all the usual extremely cheap electrical goods, so if you are wanting a new camera or maybe somehing else then take a look at the prices here! You will also find the usual souvenir shops and a small array of clothes shops!
In the South you will find the Place of Pearls - this is a fantastic thousand square feet completely devoted to pearls and pearl jewellery!!

If you, like me like the markets for a good haggle and great bargain there are plenty across the island of Tenerife, But none in Los Gigantes although there is a few close by ...Make sure you try to barter as it makes that bargain even more satisfying!!!

Playa de Las Americas, In Barranco de Troya, open daily from 8am.
Torviscas, open Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am till 2pm
Los Cristianos - Based opposite the Gran Hotel Arona, open Sundays 10am till 2pm
