Mallorca Fiestas,like all of Spain and its islands throughout the year there are many fiestas, festivals and carnivals taking place, some are national Spanish holidays, some specifically for Majorca and the other Balearic Islands! Some like the obvious christian festivals like good friday and easter monday vary year to year, with easter, so it is best to check with the local tourist offices before travel to get the dates right.
A few of the best are;
January; St Antonys, celebrated with bonfires and the festival of St Sebastian with concerts, dancing and fireworks.
February; Carnivals in the run up to Lent with parades, fancy dress etc
March; Regata in Palma
April & June; Music Concerts
May; Recreation of the battles between Arab pirates and local Christians.
June; Various fairs, festivals and parades throughout the island.
July; Music festival in Pollenca
August; Early August has more battles with the Arab Pirates, plus usually there are several other smaller music and dance festivals.
September; Harvest Festivals
