Menorca Tourism Menorca (which is also known as Minorca) lies of the south east coast of mainland Spain in the Mediterranean.  There are four Balearic Islands, Menorca is the second largest (700km²) and the least overrun of the Balearics.  Its sister islands are Mallorca, Ibiza, and Formentera.  Menorca is a quiet island with lots of traditional fishing villages green rolling hills with rugged rocky coastline along the northern side of the island, and on the southern side there is a sharp contrast it doesn't rain as much the ground is flatter and the beaches are sandy.  Allot of Menorca is a biosphere reserve and protected by UNESCO so there is plenty of natural beauty.
