| Moguer Tourist Information Moguer is a large industrial city situated close to the coast and the largest nature reserve in Spain. Moguer used to be called Onuba. It was established as a mining town by the Romans, and is some 300 years old. There is a daily open air market in South Moguer, it is held every morning from around 10am-2pm, full of atmosphere and bursting with locals it is a great place to pick up souvenirs or food. There are no golf courses in the town of Moguer however the Bellavista Golf Course Dunas De Donana Golf Course, and there are also around 20 other golf courses on the Costa de la Luz coastline, for details of the Golf Course and all of the other Golf Courses please Moguer Golf for more information. There are three beaches to be found in the town of Moguer all are within the largest nature reserve in Spain. The Castilla Beach, the la Mata del Difunto beach, and the El Asperillo beach. The Natural Park Coto Donana is home to many species of birds, as well as pigs and deer, there are many walking and cycling paths throughout the park. Situated close to Moguer is the Aqualand Bahia (also known as Aquasherry) there are 17 slides, cafes, and a shaded picnic area its a great family day out, there is even a private bus service that can pick up from your hotel if you book in advance. From the Santa Clara Monastery visited by Christopher Columbus upon returning from his initial expedition. Or the open air Provincial Museum exhibiting contemporary sculptors in Huelva. Or the Natural Park Coto Donana, the largest nature reserve in Spain and is home to many species of birds, as well as pigs and deer, there are many walking and cycling paths throughout the park. Moguer has typical Mediterranean weather, there are approximately 300 days of sun annually, with an average of 11 hours of sun during the summer. The winters in Moguer are extremely mild, with an average of 5hrs of sun per day. The max average temperature in August is 28ºC and in December is 14ºC. The best time to visit Moguer is from June till September.
