Pal Arinsal Ski Andorra's Pal-Arinsal ski zone is now managed and marketed under the banner of Vallnord; an amalgamation of the Pal-Arinsal and Ordino-Arcalis ski areas, which are physically connected. Pal-Arinsal is the larger of the two ski areas at Vallnord, offering visitors 63 kms of ski slopes with well over 40 separate ski runs. There are a good mix of green, blue, red, and black runs on-site alongside slalom areas, freestyle areas, freeride areas, and more. If generalising the resort offers slightly more options on blue and red runs (intermediate level) than it does those of a beginner or expert difficulty level. The slopes can be accessed by three telecabins (cable cars) and a multitude of ski lifts with a capacity of around 35,000 people per hour. The snow in Andorra is usually very reliable and visitors should find Pal-Arinsal's ski runs in good condition for the entire season, this is further helped by the use of 350 snow cannons. There are an excellent range of apres-ski facilities available at the Pal-Arinsal resort, with the tax free status of Andorra lending itself to reasonable prices in it's various shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars.
