Palma Nova has an abundance of excellent tourist attractions either in or surronding the resort. It is situated in the south of the amazing island of Mallorca / Majorca. The majority of attractions aimed at families and groups of young friends, like water and theme parks. Although In Mallorca / Majorca you will find many man made and natural attractions. You can see these by either boat, train, bus / coach excursions or by yourself renting a car! There are attractions for everyone, whether you are visiting the island with Friends or the Family and bringing the Kids! Whether you are lookng for a relaxing beach holiday or an active holiday, You will find something in Palma Nova that will suit you!
If you fancy a beach holiday then Mallorca's Palma Nova beach is definitely one of the best beaches on the Badia de Palma. It has dense greenery surrounding the beach and it also hides many of the large hotels and buildings, this is excellent for families in Mallorca / Majorca. It also has good beach facilities and many bars and restaurants line the front. During the peak season, most of the main beaches in Palma Nova have lifeguards. Many have swimming areas that are marked by buoys, although this doesn't mean that swimming outside these areas is prohibited. On the island you will normally find notice boards at the entrances to the main beaches that list the facilities that are available, such as showers and wheelchair access etc.
Palma Nova is also excellent if you are looking for an active holiday! The resort is ideal for a fun filled holiday! Along with the splendid array of beaches that are excellent for all kinds of watersports. Tourists flock here throughout the year and try there hand at the popular sports such as diving, of there are many centres that can teach you and get your certificate, from beginner to advanced! Fishing, is another favourite, again you will find many companies or private charters around the ports in the main tourist resorts. These companies will take you out for the day for all sorts of fishing whether it be Big Game fishing or just normal they can provide assistance and generally these companies even put on a little picnic for you! Then there is sailing, windsurfing, skin divers and the usual tourist watersports; ringo's, para sailing, banana boats, water skiing and jet skiing!
