In the capital of the amazing island of Mallorca / Majorca - Palma, you will find an abundance of tourist attractions some man made and some natural that are spread throughout the island and in the City too. You can see these by either boat, train, bus / coach excursions or by yourself by hiring a car! There are attractions for everyone, whether you are visiting Palma, with Friends or the Family and bringing the Kids! Whether your young or old, alone, with the family or with a group of friends - there is something here for everyone. Mainly in the islands capital, Palma, you will find many museums, offering you the history, interesting information and facts about Majorca / Mallorca. The history of the island dates back to ancient times and has traces of Roman and Arab civilizations.
Palma as with the rest of Mallorca / Majorca and the other islands within the Balearics is excellent for all kinds of watersports. Tourists flock to the island throughout the year and try there hand at the popular sports such as diving, of there are many centres that can teach you and get your certificate, from beginner to advanced! Fishing, is another favourite, again you will find many companies or private charters around the ports in the main tourist resorts. These companies will take you out for the day for all sorts of fishing whether it be Big Game fishing or just normal they can provide assistance and generally these companies even put on a little picnic for you! Then there is sailing, windsurfing, skin divers and the usual tourist watersports; ringo's, para sailing, banana boats, water skiing and jet skiing! There are many other sports and attractions in Mallorca / Majorca.
If you fancy a beach holiday than you are going to the right place! Palma, has some excellent beaches. Locals particularly enjoy the C'an Pere Antoni beach and the other beaches that are situated along the Badia de Palma.
You will also, in Palma, find the La Llotja. This is a prime example of Gothic Architecture that was built around the end of the 11th century. The National Heritage museum that is also in Palma, has views overlooking the city including the cathedral. This was formally a Palace in the 14th century and was originally built as an Islamic fortress.
Also in Majorca you will find a few Theme, Water and Amusement parks that are a great day out for all, including Aquacity - a brilliant water park located just to the east of Palma, and Marineland - a popular tourist attraction theme park with lots of animals mainly marine life. The park is a good breeding land and has bred a lot of the animals themselves - also here there is a fantastic dolphin and sea lions show!
Aquacity
One of the world's largest water funfairs, with enough thrills and spills to keep you happy all day. In addition to the water slides and wave pool, there is a mini-zoo, as well as a children's farm, parrot shows and an antique typewriter museum. The water park is located near the El Arenal beach in the south of the island of Mallorca. It offers visitors the opportunity to spend an unforgettable day with their families and friends enjoying state of the art attractions such as the Tsunami, the Grand Canyon and the Devil’s Tail. Also, three great areas for children: the Mini Park, the Dragoland and Polynesia. Relax at the end of the day on our fantastic green lawns and in the Jacuzzi.
The Park is open between, May to October. Gates open during July and August from 10 am to 6pm. In May, June, September and October from 10 am to 5 pm.

Marine Land
The park is located at Calviá’s Costa d’en Blanes beach. This wonderful marine zoo is backed by 34 years of history in entertainment, education, research and interconnection with nature. The internationally awarded Dolphin Shows are the park’s top attraction, along with the Sea Lion and Parrot Shows.
Entertainment here is provided by the performing dolphins, sealions and parrots. There is also a penguin pool, a reptile house and a large collection of sharks and tropical fish, plus flamingoes, monkeys and an impressive aviary. Children can take a ride on a mock pirate boat and a miniature train.
The park is open between the end of January to beginning of December, the gates open during July and August from, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm and all other months from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm!
