Pineda Golf Thanks to its relative proximity to the regional capital of Barcelona & a healthy stream of tourists arriving from the Costa Brava, Pineda is within driving distance of a multitude of golfing installations. Thankfully the land around it is also widely thought of as being some of the most beautiful & varied countryside in all of Spain, & it also has an agreeable year round climate. However Pineda & the Costa Brava are considerably wetter than southern Spain, though still mild enough to play golf in all seasons. In fact the summer season is less oppressive in these parts & may make for more comfortable play during the hottest months. One major upside to the wetter weather is clearly evident in the green & fertile lands that surround Pineda, & its courses have truly benefited from this. Angel de Lloret Golf Club The Angel de Lloret golf club is an attractive offering located near the popular resort of Lloret de Mar, on the Costa Brava. Its proximity to Barcelona (34 kilometres) & relatively close positioning to many of the Costa's resorts ensures a steady stream of visiting golfers The Club de Golf Vallromanes boasts 18 holes set around a converted Spanish nobleman's residence; a spectacular setting easily reached from Barcelona The Club de Golf Sant Cugat is located between the villages of Pals & Torroella de Montgri. Its location just 2 kilometres from the coast has ensured its popularity amongst visiting golfers as well as locals
Costa Brava golf clubs tend to subscribe to the typical membership scenario (ditched by many clubs in southern Spain). Green time is usually available to the visitor, though booking is almost always necessary. Those turning up on the day expecting to play may find themselves disappointed.
