Pineda Weather Pineda boasts a typical Mediterranean climate & as such is welcoming for the majority of the year. The summer season is hot without being oppressive, July/August boast average highs of 31°C. Pineda's coldest month is January & its winters (though a good deal cooler than in Spain's southern regions) still reach average highs of 16°C. Meaning there is the potential to have lunch al fresco, or take part in outdoor activities at any time of the year. However visitors should be aware that due to Pineda's northern location the winter season can bring cold periods. It is also considerably wetter than the climate normally associated with the south of Spain; average rainfall stands at around 1,000mm per annum. The upside to this is evident in the green & fertile lands that surround the town, & in the many nearby parks & conservation areas.
