The nightlife in Playa Blanca is fairly limited, the entertainment is restricted to the shows organised by the hotels. There is a kids disco but those after something hardcore will need to head to Puerto del Carmen, half an hour away by car. Here you will find bars that are open all day every day until the early hours. So if you fancy partying hard into the night you should copy the locals and have a siesta!!! Discos and nights clubs usually open around 11 pm and close when the last body has left, which is usually around 5 or 6 in the morning!! Please be aware that 'clubs' and 'nightclubs' are not the same as in England these places are brothels and strip joints, if you fancy dancing the places you should look for are 'disco's' or 'discotheques'!! Puerto del Carmen is the “pulsating” tourist centre of the Island with two merging areas: the famous promenade packed with live music bars, pubs and discos to suit most tastes; and la Tiñosa which unfolds around the old fishermen’s port and it is soaked in a very special atmosphere.
If you are looking for the non-tourist oriented places and get a taste of real Spanish nightlife, then Arrecife the capital of the island, is the place to go.
The main areas for partying hard are in the capital Arrecife - along Jose Antonio Street in the centre. As well as the two largest tourist centres - Puerto del Carmen, around Avenida de las Playas, or the city's old port, and in Costa Teguise on the Avenida de las Islas Canarias near the Toca shopping centre (centro commercial Toca). This is where you will find the lively bars and disco's.
Playa Blanca the evenings consist of lovely meals in beautiful seafront restaurants, an evening stroll or a quiet bar where you can sit and watch the world go by. There are a few bars that cater for a little livelier crowd and have live music or DJ's, you will find these around the promenade.
You will be able to find many restaurants where you can just sit in peace and watch the world go by along the seafront and promenade. There’s a huge choice of restaurants on the main promenade in Playa Blanca, which at night bustles with activity. The promenade overlooks the beach and harbour and the lights of Fuerteventura can be seen on the horizon. Recommended restaurants include El Varadero, Almacen Del Sal, Brisamar, Rocamar and Casa Pedro. La Rustica and Don Camillos both serve excellent Italian food while for less adventurous palates there are also plenty of places offering something and chips. Some restaurants don't take cards.
Throughout the rest of the island there are plenty of places for nightlife, depending on your preference of a night out! To eat there is everything from lovely Tapas Bars and more traditional Canarian restaurants to the typical Chinese, English etc wherever you are staying! Around the quieter resorts and coastal villages you will find lots of little fishing ports where you can just sit under the stars until the early hours watching the world go by! Just remember whatever you do Enjoy and have FUN!!!!
