There are seven golf courses in total across Tenerife and there two new ones on the way! With the all year round weather no wonder it has become one of the top destinations for a golfing holiday!! Originally only known as a beach and party place Tenerife has become more popular for the golfers of this world! The golf is hot and the weather is even hotter!!
Real Club de Tenerife Golf Club
In the far North of the island near the quieter resorts is Real Club de Tenerife Golf club, this is the second oldest club in the whole of Spain. Also being the only one in the North you will either have to play it lots or go down to the South. With the spectacular view over to Mount Tiede, the fairways that are lined with mature trees and the slightly cooler climate than the South, this Par 71 course is definitely worth a visit!!!

Golf Las Americas - In the South of Tenerife
Golf Las Americas opened since 1998. This 18 hole golf course is closest to Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas. It is located in a natural, gently sloping amphi-theatre! The course is a pleasent walk with a par of 72 and total length of 6,607 yards. One of the features that notice most about this course is the streams flowing into waterfalls. Between the woodland and the flora you will find the palm trees and other native trees along the course. The driving range is situated near the club house. The whole Golf club including tourist lodgings are over 90 hectares!

Golf Del Sur
Located in the south near Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas the Golf del Sur was built in 1987. You will notice at this course that the bunkers are made from black sand from the neighbouring Mount Tiede volcano. This is the place where professional golfer Karl Woodward had a 408 yard strike; the longest ever drive recorded!! The Golf del Sur is the home of the Tenerife Open where world stars such as Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els have all tried their hand around this spectacular course
