Punta Prima Tourist Information Punta Prima is located at the southern most tip of Menorca island.  Just 5 miles from the airport and a similar distance to the capital of Menorca (Mahon also known as Mao).  The best time to visit Punta Prima is between May and October, high season is from June to September.  There are tonnes of sights close to the resort of Punta Prima; from boating tours, to caves, horse harness racing, the park, the military governors house, the museum of Menorca, the Xoriguer Gin Distillery, Yoga classes and much more.  Please see Punta Prima sightseeing for more details.  There are many fiestas all over Menorca Punta Prima does not hav its own, however the locals are normally very welcoming with tourists that want to join in with fiestas.  I would very much recommend going to a Spanish Fiesta in Menorca as the locals really know how to party.  A typical fiesta is celebrated annually and usually local businesses close, the roads are blocked off, and a street party is set up with food, drink and music in abundance.  People of all ages join the party in singing and dancing. Then in the evening the there is usually a fair ground, and often on the last night there will be a fireworks display.  Sometimes there is even a bank holiday the day after the fiesta for the town to recover. Punta Prima Menorca beach has fine white sand to one side and rocks to the other.  Located close to St Luis, there are pedaloes, windsurfing, and sailing equipment available to hire, and parking is available on the beach. The Club de Golf Son Parc golf course is situated in Punta Prima.  It was designed by Dave Thomas, and is situated close to the sea, surrounded by pine trees, and home to many peacocks.  It is a moderately short and even course, trickier on the greens, however the wind can add challenges on every hole.
