Reus Airport (REU) Reus International Airport (REU) is the Costa Dorada's resident airport, located some 3 km from Reus, & 13 kms from Tarragona city centre. Air traffic here has exploded in recent years, especially with the introduction of budget airline routes; passenger figures standing at 1,381,979 in 2005. However it still plays second fiddle to the much larger airport at Barcelona & is often still seen as an alternative to flying there. Reus airport is most used by passengers travelling to the coastal resorts of the Costa Dorada (Reus, La Pineda etc). The airport is well connected with central Tarragona by bus or taxi, where a train service operates to Barcelona & beyond. Bus There are bus stops located outside the main terminal building. Regular bus services run to central Reus & Barcelona, as well as many of the main resorts on the Costa Dorada; including stops in Cambrils, La Pineda, Salou, & Vilaseca. Taxi There is a taxi rank in operation at Girona airport. Taxi's operate a meter system & are generally affordable. There is a small surcharge for luggage, & tipping is customary.
