Rock Climbing Andorra
Rock Climbing in Andorra is another popular outdoor pursuit and there are numerous areas which will entertain and challenge the visiting climber. This part of the Pyrenees mountain range offers everything from the more straightforward slopes and scrambles to intensive rock faces with overhangs and much more challenging snowy peaks. The best bases for rock climbing are usually the higher mountain villages of Ordino and Arinsal.
There are also a number of Via Ferrata of varying difficulties in Andorra; which are essentially sections of rock face already equipped with cables, steps, ladders etc. These are ideal for those with little or no previous rock climbing experience, but be aware there are still some difficult sections.
The rock climbing season in Andorra usually stretches from June to September, though the snow can thaw by May.
