Salamanca Airport Salamanca Airport is small and serves a variety of uses, including commercial haulage and pleasure flights. It does however also cater for passenger airlines flying national routes. International flights are expected to increase in the coming years. This makes it the only resident passenger airport in the province of Salamanca, and is located some 15 kms east of the city. Though still low by national standards air traffic here is rising year on year, with passenger figures in 2005 standing at 23,456. The airport is well connected with central Salamanca by bus or taxi. Bus There are regular bus routes operating from the airport to the centre of Salamanca and beyond. Buses stop in a designated area near the arrivals section at the front of the terminal. Taxi There is a taxi rank in operation outside of the main terminal building at Salamanca airport. Taxi's operate a meter system and are generally affordable.
