Playa Poniente / Poniente Beach Playa Poniente is one of the most centrally located beaches in Salou & as such is an urbanised beach. Alongside the many hotels that flank the beach is a seafront promenade together with a large quantity of restaurants, bars, & other amenities. It measures around 1100 metres (one of the town's longest) consisting of fine golden sand & has been awarded the European blue flag award for cleanliness. Facilities include; Sun beds & umbrellas, toilets & showers, water sports facilities, children's playground, life guards, & regular police patrols. Playa Levante / Levante Beach Playa Levante is another long urbanised beach fronting the town. Separating it from Playa Poniente is Salou's resident marina. The beach is made up of fine golden sand & boasts a multitude of facilities including a children's play area & creche. Facilities include; Sun beds & umbrellas, toilets & showers, water sports facilities, children's playground, creche, life guards, & regular police patrols. Playa Larga / Larga Beach Playa Larga (or long beach) is actually not the longest beach of Salou at 700 metres. It is however a pleasant location flanked by pine trees & vegetation. Facilities include; Sun beds & umbrellas, toilets & showers, non-motor water sports facilities, life guards, & regular police patrols. Playa Capellans / Capellans Beach Playa Capellans is a nice semi-urbanised beach reachable via Calle Bruselas. Though only 220 metres in length it is popular & has a high degree of occupancy during the summer months. The beach is made up of fine golden sand & has been awarded the European blue flag award for cleanliness & the clarity of its waters.
