Salou Restaurants Salou's food is based on similar principles to that of much of Spain, traditional Mediterranean cuisine; which means lots of fish, meat, & vegetables cooked in the best quality olive oil. However due to its long history of fishing the town does have a slight leaning towards fish dishes & other fruits of the sea. Anyone who has spent any time in Spain will know that the day quite literally revolves around food & eating. Dining out is a popular pastime, & prices are usually reasonable enough for the average person to do this several times per week. As a result there are a multitude of restaurants & cafes to be found in the town; serving traditional fare alongside more modern tastes, & of course international cuisine. Mealtimes in Spain differ from those of other European countries. Lunchtime is usually taken at around 2pm, while the evening meal is at more like 10pm.
