Sant Cugat Golf Club The Club de Golf Sant Cugat is the oldest course in Catalonia (Catalunya). Founded by British workers helping to build the Barcelona-Sant Cugat railway line in 1917, it is conveniently located 20 km from Barcelona. This has ensured that as the years went by the clubs visitors number grew, both from Barcelona's residents & the many tourists that visit the regional capital. An 18 hole par 69 course Sant Cugat caters for every level of player. Like many courses in the region there are plenty of trees here, adding to the beauty but also difficulty of the course. Play is further challenged by the ready use of bunkers, which impede many approach shots. The club house at Sant Cugat is also of a high standard. It houses a restaurant, cafe-bar, driving range, & a practice area. A variety of equipment is available for hire at reception.
