Sant Ferran Tourist Information Sant Ferran is a coastal town located in the center of Formentera North Facing.  It is located between the popular resorts of Es Calo (to the east) and Es Pujols (to the west).  There are many things to do close to Sant Ferran from visiting Art Galleries, Markets, Monuments, Museums, and much more.  Sant Ferran has its own small beach close to Sant Ferran town in Spanish this is called Playa Sant Ferran it is popular for scuba diving and snorkeling, it is not known whether nudity is normally accepted on this beach.  The best time to visit Sant Ferran is between May and October, high season is from June to September.  Espalmador Island is great for a day trip from Sant Ferran it is a small uninhabited island located just 150m from Formentera just 3km in length and 1km wide.  You can catch a boat to the island of Espalmador from port of Formentera there are many beaches with fine golden sand, no facilities at all, it is unknown whether nudity is accepted on this island. Formentera island is a tranquil holiday resort it is very much unspoilt.  Home to most of the best beaches within the Balearics with white fine sand, shallow crystal clear waters, with very good under water visibility (great for snorkeling and scuba diving).  There are around ten really great beaches, most have beach bars selling tapas, some with boats for hire either with or without a crew.  All are recommended for snorkeling, and scuba diving.  Most of the beaches in Formentera are tolerant of the nudists and some are completely naked, nudist, au naturale beaches. There are many activities to do in Formentera including sailing, windsurfing, fishing, boating, cycling, walking, snorkeling, scuba diving, bird watching, painting and photography (countless Artists holiday in Formentera).  You can visit the sand dunes, caves, lakes, windmills, view points, light houses, and markets to name but a few.
