Santa Cruz The Santa Cruz district of Seville is it's oldest quarter. It is also the most picturesque part of the city and the area that visitors tend to gravitate towards most. Expect to find narrow cobbled streets, white washed houses, small orange tree filled squares, and large structures of architectural and antique value. In times past Santa Cruz was the part of Seville where Jewish families resided, and many of their houses remain. Alongside them are a collection of urban palaces with large iron gates & leafy patios. Also featuring are a number of prominent churches, though the main attraction here must be the Cathedral and La Giralda belltower. Santa Cruz is also an excellent place to come for lunch, with plenty of dining options in operation. Many street bars and cafes also cater for the evening crowd, with the area considered a good place to come for an early drink by people of all ages.
