Santa Susana Holidays Santa Susana is a popular family holiday destination amongst Spaniards & foreign tourists alike. Firstly it is located in close proximity to two international airports; Barcelona Airport (BCN), which is Spain's second ranked airport in terms of passenger traffic & amongst the ten busiest in Europe, & Girona Airport (GRO) offering yet more flight options & closer proximity to the Costa's main resorts. Those intending on driving to other parts of Spain or indeed the south of France will find Santa Susana an ideal base to do this from. This is mainly from an accessibility point of view, but also because of the choice of accommodation on offer. Santa Susana is a small town located within easy driving distance of both Girona & Barcelona airports, putting it in an ideal spot from which to capitalise on the tourist trade. Extensive pinewoods surround Santa Susana & in its extremities extend to the edge of the beach-front. Additionally just a short distance away is a beautiful mountainous region favoured amongst those who travel to the area to participate in adventure sports; these vary from hiking & mountain biking to rock climbing & (a little farther North) skiing. Santa Susana is linked with neighboring Malgrat via the seafront promenade that runs along its front. One of Santa Susana's biggest draws is in the diversity of accommodation on offer. In fact most of the accessible Santa Susana Beaches are rated & kept meticulously clean. The majority of them are made up of course golden sand, but there are pebbled beaches & rocky alcoves farther afield for those who prefer to indulge in a spot of snorkeling. Santa Susana is not nearly as busy in the evenings as some of it's coastal neighbors.
