Santander Shopping The city of Santander offers numerous shopping opportunities to the visitor. There are certainly enough middle-high end retail outlets present, alongside a multitude of typical markets and larger department stores. One thing worth mentioning about shopping in Santander are the typical opening hours. Although the largest stores will tend to open from 8am-8pm Monday-Saturday the rest of the city conforms to the customary closing for siesta.
