Serinya Caves On the outskirts of the town of Serinya is an important archeological cave complex dating back to the Paleolithic period (some 200,000 years ago). Now open to the public in park format visitors will find a number of open caves in good condition which were once inhabited by early man. Exhibits & tours focus both on the human subject matter & on the methods used to excavate the caves since their discovery. Excavation began on this site in 1943 & continues to present day.
