Seville Bars Seville is an excellent place to enjoy a drink. It plays host to an almost limitless selection of bars, catering for every taste. Whether you are looking for a cafe-bar in which to rest your feet on a days sightseeing, or for alcholol fueled hedonism at midnight, there is plenty to choose from & a lot in between. One of the best places to head for a quiet drink is the area surrounding the Cathedral. In fact the entire Santa Cruz district is seen as a good place to head to in the earlier part of the evening. Those with the intention of staying up late usually then head on to Calle Betis and Calle Alfalfa streets, where there are a host of late night bars & night-clubs. An alternative to this area can be found near the old station of the Plaza de Armas square. However during the hottest months Seville's most popular spots are along it's river banks, as numerous bars and eateries can be found there. It is worth knowing that the evening meal in Spain is eaten at around 10pm. This has a knock on effect to the customary time at which locals head out for a drink (especially at weekends), & visitors will find that most bars do not get lively until later.
