Sitges Shopping Sitges has an above average range of high end & high street retail outlets. Of course there are also department stores, markets, & an abundance of more authentic local stores selling local goods & souvenirs. Overall Sitges has done well to fend off large European chains & therefore much of what is on offer is sold on by local businesses & boutique stores. Though Sitges' central network of streets are all lined with shops, the best place to start a shopping trip is probably the Plaza Cap de la Vila square. Any of the streets leading towards the seafront from here are among the town's busiest & will be packed with shops of every description. One thing worth mentioning about shopping in Sitges is the traditional opening hours of its shops. Although the largest stores will tend to open from 8am-8pm Monday-Saturday, the rest of the city conforms to the customary closing for siesta.
